Although some of it was hard to read because of the ableist language used by the characters which was called out and used to highlight the issues with speaking in that way, especially about those who are autisticit was such a gorgeous read that was both touching and heartfelt. I haven t read too many novels about autistic characters, and although I can t speak for the representation, I feel as though it was incredibly well-written and we need more of this rep in YA.
Or rather, I need to go out of my way to search out more books with autistic rep.
